Well I' now in Shanghai and will go to Beijing on Saturday.
So far so good, Chinese people not so bad at least not in Shanghai, haven't tried rest of the country.

The hostel I'm staying at is very good located, it's worth while to buy lonelyplanet books and go by the authors choice ;)
It's near the bund which is famous waterbank here in Shanghai, not far from the shopping street and the street which is located on is the bookstore street - lots of bookshops which came handy today since it was raining a lot!

I even have been able to eat with sticks (what is the name for it in english), well the chinese way without fork and knive. Very impressing for me.
